  • Our Bed & Breakfast is housed in the soon-to-be restored residence of the late Ghanaian Ambassador Alex Quaison-Sackey. Alongside comfortable guest rooms, the property features a museum dedicated to preserving his legacy and the cultural heritage of Winneba.

  • When the renovations are complete, we will offer 4 guest rooms* in the Main House and 2 guest rooms in the detached Guest House. Each guest room will be redesigned with modern comforts and ensuite bathrooms* while retaining the character of the original home.

    The Guest House has 1 shared bathroom between 2 rooms.

  • Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged depending on availability.

  • We love partnerships and collaborations!

  • Your stay includes daily breakfast and access to the heritage museum.

    Airport Transfers, curated cultural experiences, and optional add-ons such as afternoon tea, fruit & bubbly, and beach picnics are available upon booking.

  • Yes. The museum will be open to the public during visiting hours.

  • No. To preserve the home’s history and collections, food and drinks are only permitted in designated dining and lounge areas.

  • Yes, we host small events, private dinners, and cultural gatherings to guests that have booked the entire home.

    Our neighbor, AQumbiaS Event Centre is also available to rent.

  • Yes, free on-site parking is provided for all guests.

  • During pre-launch, Reservations will be made directly through our website.

  • We welcome school groups, tour operators, and private groups of all sizes. For group visits, please contact us in advance so we can ensure the best possible experience for your party.

Majestic Breeze Rooftop Lounge Questions

  • The Rooftop Lounge offers breathtaking views of Winneba beach and the coast. Guests can enjoy signature cocktails, good conversation, & small bites (from our neighbor Edzizi?! Small bites Cafe) music in a relaxed, open-air setting.

  • Unfortunately the rooftop lounge is for our staying guests and their invited guests only. We want to maintain a standard of privacy and security for guests staying at Akumbia Lodge.

  • Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor sections of the rooftop with use of Ash trays.
